The City of Waterloo approved a plan for more affordable housing in the north end of the city, specifically on 2025 University Avenue East. The plan includes up to 700 new units, a mix of affordable non-market housing and attainable market housing. The cost of servicing the land is estimated at $7 million, already included in the capital budget.
